Day Four

We went to Dali old town! There was restaurants, shops, and street vendors, as well as old buildings, willow tress, and a school. I took a ton of pictures. I know I keep mentioning pictures; be patient- they will come eventually! We visited the alleged home of Dali's best chocolate chip cookie, which I didn't try. But Sabrina did, and she said it was truly delicious. Katie, Sabrina, Madeleine V, Madeline C, Bryce, and I ate dinner at Stella's, a restaurant with asian pasta. Three bolognaise, one vegetable, and one mushroom saude was ordered, but the order was messed up. Therefore,I ate fetticcuine (did I spell that right?) with mushroom sauce despite my lifelong dislike of mushrooms and my preference for tomato sauce over cream. It was OK- at least it was somewhat healthy.

We stargazed a while again, then returned home. From now on, I will address Yang's guesthouse as home because it will be- for a month (We spend most of our time there and in the Linden Center). I slept pretty early, yay! Anyways, it was a cool trip, adn next time we go, I'll get a chocolate chip cookie.

Good job!

Not afraid to try new things is always good. Mushrooms don't taste that bad after all, right? Don't worry if you can't upload photos yet, we see some posted from Meera and Madeline already. I still enjoy very much of your descriptions on places you go, things you do, how you feel and all. I'll keep reading your blog everyday! Just happy that you are happy there! Love, mom

Yey! Pictures!

You finally got the photos on, and they look great! I would love to have the chocolate chip cookies as well! They look so yummy.

Hi! My name is Audrey... I'm really excited about Microcampus. I've never been to an area like that, and I'm looking forward to the fresh air and nice weather. I hope to learn how the people there live, as well as exploring the area and comparing it to Shanghai. Hopefully, I'll gain a great experience out of this trip.
