Phase 4: Preparing to Share: Emerging Ideas

Updated 4 years 1 month ago

I have completed Phase 0, Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3.  These phases have helped me decide on my project, and what I will be doing in this phase. Here I will be developing my plan on how to report my findings, and what I have learnt here in Xizhou. I will be sharing the most important things I have learnt. To give me an example I looked at Hannah H's project, Nike H's project, and Clara C's project. They gave me an idea about what I should do, and what a final product looks like.

My audience for my Inquiry Project are the students here in Xizhou. I want to show them, based on what I have learnt, the ideal school and education that they need. I will show them, what they need that will benefit, them, their social lives, the time that they can spend with their families, and the school life that can benefit their parents. I will show them, what needs to change in their schools, and what they should change outside of their school lives that can help them. This is not just for the students in Xizhou, but also for the parents, the teachers, and some administrates. I can show them the ideal school life in Xizhou, through school experiences, outer school experiences, and the parental side of school, with its changes through though the ages.

To show them this, and to present my final product, I will use an iMovie. It will get a good visual, and it will also have my voice, guiding the process. I will be able to give facts, opinions, and I can show drawings and pictures easier with this.

I. An introduction to the education system, and what I will show in this video. The ideal school and education system that will benefit everyone.
Thesis: In order to investigate the best education in Xixhou, one must consider, Inner school experiences, out side of school experiences, and the parental view.

II. What are some inner school experiences? Happenings in school

  • What goes on in school
    What should change
    What should stay the same

III. What are some outer school experiences? Happenings outside of school

  • What goes on outside of school
What should change about that, HW, stress levels, time management
    What should be the same

IV. What do the parents think of schools here?

  • What are the positives and negatives
    What should change
    What should stay the same

V. Conclusion. What is the ideal school and education system that will benefit everyone?

This is the outline format, for what I will talk about and show in the video. This will guide me on what I have to film, and what I need to say, and the point I have to get across. My final product will be based off of this, so it will hopefully be good enough!

I'm so proud

Hi Hannah,
Well I am one very proud Nanna, after reading your journal entries and your final stage of your microcampus. It has been a huge time for you all. Your mentors are to be commended on their leadership and you students have learned so much because of your hard work, and their leadership.
I have enjoyed this ongoing experience and I wish I was there with you to speak personally with you on your homecoming tomorrow night.
I know you will all have benefited greatly from this experience. To have you realise some of your shortcomings and know you have to work harder on overcoming them is wonderful.
Congratulations. What a huge year this has been for you Hannah.
I hope you remember this experience and continue to grow because of what you have learned. Enjoy your holidays dear.
I love you,
Nanna Gay xx

I am 13 years old and I am from Ballarat Australia, in Victoria. I have lived here in Shanghai for the past 10 years, and I am almost fluent in Chinese. My hobby is writing monologues and preforming them, I love to act, and hope to one day make a living out of Acting and Singing. I have arrived in Xizhou, and I am super exited. We are in the village and have been around, and it looks like it will be a place I will enjoy and remember forever. My Inquiry Project is about Education in Xizhou, where I will be studying perspectives on education, and also the Education System.
