Day 11: Linden Centre

This morning we were informed that there was a possible chance of a surprise room inspection. Being a member of room 3, and also the record holder for highest room inspection points (for the Extreme team), my roommates and I were frantic to clean our room. We made sure that all the beds were wrinkle-free and could pace the "bounce test". The trashcans were emptied and jackets were hung at a 90* angle. The shoes were lined up properly and laces were all tucked in. We also may have left a little treat on one of the beds for the King of Room Inspections to devour after... C: In the afternoon for terrace time, Michael and I biked over to the Linden Centre and explored the area. Over by the very left side of the hotel, there were stairs that led up to a terrace. The view from there was amazing, you could see far off into the distance. Also, you could see a lot of land where plants were being grown. After sitting there for a little while, we proceeded to find Thomas and K2 learning how to play Mahjong. However, we found it a bit confusing since they played without the flowers, words, and the 3 in-a-row rule. Especially since the both of us have families that play Mahjong very intensely. We sat there watching them play and lose to 2 local residents who taught them how to play for their inquiry projects (recreation). Afterwards, we spent wellness time playing pool and pingpong. I was quite surprised by how well I played, it may just be beginners luck but I enjoyed it either way.

Hey, my name is Nicole and I am currently 13 years old. I was born in San Francisco, California and my parents are from Taiwan. Throughout my life I have moved 5 times so I am a pretty social butterfly. Leadership and taking risks are things that I feel confident at. Photography, dance, and swimming are my hobbies and passion. I had a very delightful time exploring new cultures on my microcampus experience in XiZhou and will miss it deeply!
